This Party Mums ‘One’der the sea first birthday party is swimming with bright colours and has some of the cutest sea creatures you ever did see. Based on the birthday boy Rudy’s favourite programme, Hey Bear Sensory, under the sea. It was decided pretty early on in the party planning process, that this birthday party was going to be bright, bold and full of fun!
The entrance to the party, invited guests to take a walk under the sea, passing through shimmering blue streamers and balloon garlands decorated with colourful sea creatures, including octopus, lobster, and starfish. Emerging into the main room, the full scale and details of the party were truly revealed. A huge double slide ball pit filled with bright coloured balls, inflatable rings and sea creatures, was the first thing to grab the guests attention. Complimented with a bright balloon garland around the steps and freestanding balloon seaweed, the children knew exactly where to head for non stop party fun. Ride ons, balance beams and soft play blocks, personalised with Rudy’s name and more sea creatures, kept the flow of the party style and theme.
Decorations in the room included free standing balloon seaweed columns, positioned in every corner of the room, with the main party backdrop displayed in front of the relaxed dining area. A huge bright and colourful balloon wall, over 4 metres wide and 3 metres tall, with an enormous octopus and giant clam shell. The perfect spot to take some memorable party photographs. Large floor standing 4ft light up letters, spelling ‘Rudy’, decorated with a colourful sea creature balloon garland and cut out displays of Rudy’s favourites, a sea turtle and a giant cute clam. Every where you looked, there were bright colours and cute sea creatures to be found.
When it was time to sit down and enjoy some delicious food, the youngest guests were treated to a relaxed informal seating area, allowing them to graze at their own pace. A low wooden table decorated with bright plates, octopus napkins and a variety of sensory sea creatures on the table for guests to interact with, along with suspended helium filled jellyfish balloons above and mini bubble filled balloons all around. It really did feel like you were dining under the sea!
The party food was just as colourful and characterful as the party decorations. Fresh salads, pastas, farm fresh savoury items and breads, to mention just a few. Crab croissants and octopus peppers were very appealing to the younger guests. A beautiful display that was almost too good to eat.
The afternoon went way too quickly and all the party guests had the best time. As far as first birthday parties go, this one really made a splash!
